GB64 Recommended Games...

Lords of Conquest
J2003C says: This is an obscure game that should have been famous. Based on the board game Borderlands, it is only when played with 3-4P without randomness that it becomes an addictive, fantastic strategy game. It only takes about 1 hour to play a game, but you will be talking about it for days afterwards!

Secret of Bastow Manor, The
Neo-Rio says: One of the first adventure games I played on the C64. It's quite fun, and the creepy atmosphere builds up well as you play (thanks to the wonderful display of Commodore character graphics!)

SWIV
Neo-Rio says: I love blasters. SWIV is the sequel to "Silkworm". Yet another shooter which is very well done and playable. Somebody has to play as the jeep though...

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
Neo-Rio says: If you're too young to remember He-Man, then you missed out on cartoons, plastic toys, a feature film... and this game. It's not a good game by a long stretch, but the Ben Daglish soundtrack gives me some nostalgia.

Druid
J2003C says: This game is very fun and actually finishable without cheating. Better than Gauntlet, but only 1-2P. Golem controls for 1P are hard, but still fun. Chosing the right weapons and collecting the right treasures take experience and trial-and-error.

Realm of Impossibility
J2003C says: This is a suprisingly simple, yet fun game, despite the terrible rating by Zzap! Best played in 2 player mode in cooperation, but also fairly fun when played alone.

Wheel of Fortune
Neo-Rio says: I think everyone has had fantasies about playing this game on TV. And unlike console versions of this game, the C64 lets you save your winnings on the Champions list so you can come back to play on the show!

Sentinel, The
Neo-Rio says: What do you get when you cross 10,000 levels of 3D graphics, a real time virtual reality strategy game, and ONLY 64K of memory? You get this programming masterpiece of a game! It was mindblowing in it's time and is still as playable today!

5th Gear
Neo-Rio says: This game is like playing with a remote control car. A little frustrating at times, but addictive enough to keep you coming back to it.
