GB64 Recommended Games...

Way of the Exploding Fist, The
Neo-Rio says: The great music, the fantastic graphics, the intelligent gameplay, are all things we remember about this fighting game. Not to mention the sampled Bruce Lee "Hiiyaaah" taken from the movie "Enter the Dragon", heard on the loading screen.

Zynaps
Neo-Rio says: Another side-scrolling shooter game with class. This game is REALLY HARD, but for some reason I got addicted to it, despite dying over and over again.

ATF - Advanced Tactical Fighter
Neo-Rio says: An arcade styled tactical fighter jet game. While it's fun to find and lock on to targets and blast them, you have to remember you're fighting a war, and to pick places strategic to win.

Army Moves
Neo-Rio says: Once again you have to single handedly take on an entire army in vehicles and on foot. Played in two parts. The music can get irritating after a while though.

Hot Wheels
Neo-Rio says: This game is just a bunch of mini games, there to amuse you as opposed to challenge you. The demolition derby mini-game is what I liked the most about this one. Not exactly GTA though.

Beach-Head II - The Dictator Strikes Back!
Neo-Rio says: Ah... the beach head. Four playable mini games with in game speech. Who can forget the pleading of your captured POW trying to escape? "Hey! Don't shoot me!" he would say, but we shot him anyway.

Hyper Sports
Neo-Rio says: Sequel to "Track and Field" and possibly more well known on the Commodore 64. Fortunately the waggling events are punctuated by shooting and archery events - so hopefully you won't get carpal tunnel if you play too much.

Into the Eagle's Nest
Neo-Rio says: Another great Gauntlet clone, but here you can run out of ammo and that has consequences. You also get to resuce prisoners but you'll need to learn where those lift-passes are....

Frank Bruno's Boxing
Neo-Rio says: Nintendo's old "Punch Out" game gets the Commdore 64 clone treatment. The result is actually quite impressive (and includes the obligatory Rocky tune), although some of the boxers get nigh impossible later on.
