|
|
I'm using the Retro Gamer edition of GB64. I've read other threads with this problem but it still hasn't helped me.
I downloaded the game collection and have them still in the right folders (a, b1, b2, etc) and have pointed GB to the path. I've also downloaded and done the same for the music with HVSC.
When I come to verify the files it can't find any roms and only 179 sids. It won't play any of the sids though saying it can't find the file. Games I've pointed at manually play fine.
There doesn't seem to be any other tool I can run to make it work.
Much thanks in advance to any help! |

the game images you've downloaded have all the correct file names i presume?, and gb64 hasn't been updated to the latest hvsc yet, but it will be when the update is released, which could be anytime soon i hope |

All multiples have numbers after them so I have b1 and b2, etc
Is there an update program I'm supposed to run or something? |

So far there is no game collection available fitting for this database release.
Better wait until the downloadable database on our website will be updated. |

no, michael means that no collection of game images excists for the database you are running. unless you add the games manually
btw, c64 games aren't roms they are disk images or tape images, unless it's a cartridge game then it's called a rom, if you say the word rom on some other c64 sites you could get flamed pretty badly |

Oh wow, I downloaded the version from this site and all games and most sids are found perfectly! Wish I'd known this sooner, how come the Retro Gamer version is different?
That's news to me about the word "rom", it's all I've ever heard. There I was sounding like a w@r3Z kiddie and I had no idea! |

The version on RetroGamer is v2 database, which will be matched by the actual image releases very shortly. Many of the games have either been superceded in version, so the zip names are slightly different, or been split up into smaller directory sizes.
