Hello, guys.
Because UG offers Golden Torrents to the end of this year and Hyperspin collection is marked as Golden, I've downloaded all of these compilations. But personally I don't like Hyperspin too much (wheel philosophy, slow interface). Of course movies in Hyperspin show more than screenshots (it's obvious), but interface is not what I like.
What do You think about future GB compilations, like these:
Panasonic 3DO
Sega Dreamcast
Sega Saturn
(eventually) Nuon
Anyone planning to do Gamebase for these machines (or at least 3DO) ?
Asked because all, except NUON are available for Hyperspin at UG. _________________ I love Gamebase's creators and compilations |

Hi Dax,
It should be possible to convert the HyperSpin collections to the Gamebase format easy enough.
if you send me a VERY SMALL example to examine.
---------
The 3D0 never interested me back in the day.
I thought the games were very poor.
all FMV intros and no REAL game-play.
I am not sure of the emulation quality for the systems. To warrant me downloading them, on my poor download limit.
Only if i had the actual machines to play them on, would it be worth downloading a few.
And as for uploading and sharing 100's of GB afterwards...
that's me out. (for the same poor bandwidth reason)
But the Sega Saturn Jap collection interests me greatly... |

| Those systems are potential hard drive killers and would take forever to D/L unless the disk image files had some serious compression on them, which is probably the reason why no one has attempted it yet, that's not to say I would'nt love to see them done. |

You can always make a GB using a well established image collection and release it without the images, with a link pointing people to them. (like I did for SegaCD)
I had thought about making a 3DO GB (I still own one) but the lack of a well organized complete disk image set made me pause. (Is there a full set now?)
Anyways, I no longer have the time to work on GB but if anyone starts any of these, I have quite a few manuals I can share.

i have already done that.
but i don't have the collection myself, to snap the screens.
made two versions, one with the HyperSpin v1 collection.
131 CDs / 114 Games.
The other has a more complete Collection of 584 CDs.
which seems to contain several releases of the same game
JAP, EU, US, CA. Demos, Videos and Magazine cover discs.
its all scripted and working with FreeDO.
but it's just a shell at the moment. |

Sorry to double post.
I was just wondering if anybody would consider making a Sega Saturn Gamebase?
It would be excellent to have a gamebase of the Saturn.
I hope this can be possible.
Thank you for your time.

there is an excellent Saturn emulator, that plays everything i have tried with it.
however you do need Daemons loaded with a Virtual CD, if you want to use ISO's.
SSF 12 Beta R3
That's not a 100% guarantee for every game, but good enough for non Saturn owners, who just want to play Sega Rally. |

i will have a quick look, and see what can and can't be scripted.
but a gamebase with info and covers, should be possible.
with the USER linking there own game collection to it.
start downloading any games you want from UG torrents.
As i won't be able to upload 268GB on any file-sharing sites. |

The funniest thing is that I completelly "deleted" my DVD's of 3DO, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast & Nuon. I thought it won't be necessary and I left it to the biggest river in Poland. Don't blame me. It was to preserve history
