Anyone interested in a Gamebase for the Texas Intruments 99/4A system?
I've got a load of disk and cart images and I'm currently playing about with gemus via the mess emulator but need a little help. I can get the images to start ok but need a solution to automatically get past the TI startup screen and autoselect numbered option to run the given program, tried the following example to autorun a cartridge but it seems to be ignoring any input sent from the Run_Emulator_Send_Keys command.
Add_CLP(ti99_4ae -cart1 "%gamepathfile%" -joy -now -nonewui -window -keepaspect -skip_gameinfo)
Run_Emulator_Send_Keys([3]{ENTER}2||50)
:- {ENTER} being to skip the startup screen and 2 being option 2 to run the game in this case.
Or does anyone know if there are any command line options specific to mess TI 99 4A emulation to skip start screen/autorun cart/disk?
Any help or pointers appreciated, thanks. |

Thanks, Classic99 was my first option until I learned about the disk support, I'll try and get one of the others working with gamebase as I'm not too fussed with mess either. |

Just a short progress update:
Settled on using MESS after all as it offers the most complete emulation, got over 300 entries in so far, pretty slow going as it's another custom GEMUS script and every entry needs a unique key/value pair due to the TI's quirky loading systems.
OX over and out.  |

| I'm surprised there at that many games, I hope there is some of the british tapestuff there that I was looking for. Most what I found on disks floating around were the usual cartridge games (although some were unreleased, such as the Data East games) and some common basic stuff. Looking forward to this GB. |

Interesting, can you give me the names of some of the tape software titles so I can have a hunt around? Whatever I find I will incorporate into the project.
I'm up to over 430 titles and still going up to now but no tapes as of yet although the support is there in MESS so can be incorporated in the project. |

I suppose most of the stuff that was dumped ended up on disk anyway, like on other platforms like 8bit Atari and such. I've uploaded a few ads by companies such as Lantern software, so you can compare if you already have those games.

I've still got a couple of hundred or so compilation/PD/courseware disks to go through and then the task of taking screenshots and adding docs where necessary, so no time soon.
Any help would be appreciated though! |

| Another thing that would be cool if you haven't already included it, are original versions of the Infocom games. All I could find were the inofficial ports. They were apparently ripped from the Lost Treasures collections and include 80 column support ( I don't know if that's even possible on emulators). However I'd like to see how Infocom implemented their games. So if you find different versions, it would be good to keep and double check them. |
