I remember .mad. saying quite a while back that we had reached an agreement to host Gamebase compilations over at theoldcomputer.com, may be worth enquiring? Or anyone else out there with a bit of spare server space?Seiya wrote:i have set 10 mbit of bandwitch and there are another seeder that have more bandwitch.
on mega is impossible. i have a free account. MS-DOS Goldies for now is more than 1 TB of hd space.
i have no possibility for a full account to mega, but maybe one day, someone could upload it on mega.

And it was nowhere near 1TB.
All EXODOS fullpacks or individual game files are available to download on archive.org.
example the ADV v2.0 pack is 376GB direct download full speed.
So in theory, it should be possible to get the larger CD images you are missing and complete the Gamebase.
They may need repacking or linking, it all depends what the GameBase settings are??.
Then any missing ISO's could be searched for, or uploaded individually on mega.
That was a while ago, and it didn't really take off.OX wrote: I remember .mad. saying quite a while back that we had reached an agreement to host Gamebase compilations over at theoldcomputer.com, may be worth enquiring? Or anyone else out there with a bit of spare server space?

Oh ffs there's got to be a better way of hosting files than this surely, If you don't catch the torrent within days then it's almost dried up and takes forever.Seiya wrote:mega pack 2

however before future updates, now, i seed alls these new pack one for time with 10 mbit.
now i'm in seeding with mega pack 1 for some days
than i return on main new archive
and then again on mega pack 2

Edit: I just checked my most recent post from 3 days ago, and no longer have the ability to edit it, so I think that is the problem. If opening editing back up is an issue, maybe create a new group for Gamebase Authors and allow them the editing ability, since they are the ones that typically need to edit ancient posts to add fresh download links.
Re: MS-DOS Goldies
Looks like editing may be set to time out. Default on some forums is to only allow editing for a few hours. An admin should be able to fix it if that is the case.

I have a lot of respect for Gamebase creators, maintainers & supporters.

Re: MS-DOS Goldies
Changed editing time to always allow editing, PM any feature or setting request it will be considered in short time you will always get a response.
Hope this is helpful.
