Happy New Year.
I wish someone cleans up the GameBaseST forum section. Seems there are outdated stickies to confuse people.
Also, PLEASE guys, post a CLRMAMEPRO DAT with the games needed. Many people (like me) have complete TOSEC and it is a pity (and would save everybody's bandwidth) to redownload things we have.

Two problems.
1. The official Forum for the gamebase is here:
http://www.atari-forum.com/viewforum.php?f=40
This place here is merely an outdated spin off.
(I would like it rather other way round, but ....)
2. The GBST Project is some kind of dead at the moment, because the project leader disappeared (for the second time) without any notification.
So the rest of us is left here with an inconsistant mix between GBST 3.1d Games and GBST Extras V2.4.
A clrmame dat makes not much sense, because most .st images were modified to run with GBST and the directory structure has many many subfolders.
Best way is to waste bandwidh and download the whole pack again. Sorry.
Links to direct downloads and edonkey links of GBST 3.1d and the GBST 2.4 (for the extras) can be found on my page in the Atari ST section.

You are on about saving bandwidth and yet you have a complete TOSEC - possibly one of the biggest wastes of bandwidth there is! I know I wasted a lot of my bw on it about 12 months ago and other than the numerous dupes (ie. numerous dumps of the same thing with perhaps only a single byte difference and hence a different checksum) and images I will never use, it quickly goes out of date and you keep needing to waste time and bw too keep it uptodate.
Anyway, I digress...as the good Doc said lots of the GBST images are modified so they should not even be in TOSEC to start with, although in fairness if they are not in there you won't be wasting any bandwidth as sure as eggs is eggs they will be in there soon enough
I could knock up 3 clrmame dat files for the ST,STX & HD folders in the games directory in a short time if you are really desperate?? - though I'm not willing to make a bat file to move them into the proper lettered subdirectories because I don't think that would be worthwhile as most people who wanted GBST 3.1d have probably already got it (though with the 2.4 extras) and it's likely you may find you will need too many fills for vanilla TOSEC anyway. _________________ Gamebase64 Team Member http://www.gamebase64.com
