Chrome Issue with ftp://8bitfiles.net/gamebase_64/Games/

Wed Jan 06, 2021 6:06 am

Hi Team,

I need help with this particular issue.

My Google Chrome does not work with
ftp://8bitfiles.net/gamebase_64/Games/

I have tried everything I could think of by modify the settings within Chrome,
and with no success.

The Chrome just does not open it at all,

and there is no response, and no error messages or any other indications.

However Microsoft Edge works with it!

I don't really like using Microsoft Edge.

Does any know how could I fix this issue?

Thank you and Happy New Year!

Just Googling about it, it appears Google is in the process of removing FTP access from Chrome. https://developers.google.com/web/updat ... deprecated

Don't know enough about Chrome to know if you can work around it, or will need to use a different browser for FTP.

It suddenly works now under CHROME and I don't know why. I just hope it would stay that way for now.

I downloaded Opera browser. It handles ftp links just fine.

However, it seems that the 8bit links are all down, anyone know why? Maybe the site is down, has been for the last two days now.
