New users will need to be approved by a Admin.

Sat Jul 27, 2019 10:22 am

For a little while new user will be required to be approved by a Admin only. to combat the current spat of spammers via one of these methods. Other ideas for verification by current members are welcome.

1:
A current member will need to PM a Admin with a message like.
Mario <-- The new user's name is waiting to be approved he is OK..

2: Wait for a Admin to verify you.

Already stopped several spammers..

Cheers
Shane.

I just quickly went though over 400 new registrations.. Will spend sometime over the next week to fix this issue.

PM me to assure your access to the forums. Include checkable email and user name from other forums or have a
member from GB64 to vouch for you is the best method for now..

EDIT: After some changes only 1 this morning. :) Not 400 like yesterday. Seems they don't like to wait for Admin approval this will make it easier to look for legitimate users.

So... what does somebody need to do to get off the Newly Registered Users group? I'm coming up on 4 years here and I'm still wearing the red of shame.

I believe that is based on post count.
