*I THINK* the only way to get GameBases on a pi, is by using the JAVA version.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/jgamebase/

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/artic ... 04896.html

Your GameBases will also need to be converted to that JAVA GB format.
And i do not think it's a straight forward task.

Then you will need to find and script a compatible Java emulator.

Dax has made a very good emulator and rom collection for pi.
search 'retropie 32gb'
http://www.gb64.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... 765#p27990
ask Dax for password.

maybe this can help?

Convert your Gamebase64 C64 ROM files to Emulationstation (RetroPie & Recalbox) format

Hi... I think that using GLES for all arm devices in Debian repositories doesn't have a sense, because the GL renderer has more features and some devices may have proper OpenGL support. Maybe just create a ppa repository.
And not sure if you can check the proprietary driver and provide a log from console?
