Some new C64 releases

Mon Jun 24, 2013 11:41 pm

Lemmings, Chopper Command, Qbert and Berzerk to name just a few written by the author himself, not versions found on GB64.

Also for us NTSC users, an NTSC fixed version of Fortress of Narzod by Mr. Nop (a Commodore PET programmer) can be found on Lemon64 under New Releases.

Don't worry, I've already submitted these to GB64 last week ;)

How does one 'submit' to Gamebase? It seems all contact emails end up bouncing and there is no option to submit software. In fact it sounds like GB64 doesn't want submissions any longer due to backlog.

The actual backlog mentioned in a sticky was actually from a few years ago when the database was still fairly new (that post was from 10 years ago).

I don't know if the listed email address for submissions is still used or not, as I never heard anything back either. You will probably need to get in contact with one of the team members via PM like I did last year when I had a few of the missing type-ins done.
I have a lot of respect for Gamebase creators, maintainers & supporters.

As a member of the team, then it's quite easy for me to submit. But point noted, however I don't know if certain email addresses should be completely public or not. I'd have to wait for the relevant folks to chime in.

Overall the gb64 site seems to be in sorry shape. Email addresses bounce, the Articles news is from 2003, no replies to PM's and an empty progress update dated 2007.

I think Mayhem is about the best way of submitting updates at this point.

a shame

Thu Jun 27, 2013 9:37 am

yes, a shame that gb is not updating the articles site f.e. ..
and dead links like

http://www.gamebase64.com/oldsite/
http://x.gbook.nu/gamebase/
http://www.gamebase64.com/oldsite/othersites.htm

From the gb site:

...If you would like your site to be listed here, or you find any broken links, please email the webmaster.

bad idea if the e-mail is backbouncing.. ;)

i can provide some working links even i stopped posting, checking them here:

cheers,
