When the script was made...
Metal Dust was the only .D81 in the GameBase collection.
EVERY .D81 when loaded from GameBase, will setup a 16MB SuperCPU ROM machine and enable JiffyDOS (ready for loading Metal Dust).
Then load the SuperCPU version of VICE.

The message you see is for enabling JiffyDOS ROM when loading a .D81 (Metal Dust).
The Jiffy ROMs are not distributed with GameBase as they are still under copyright.
hence the reason for the question (YES/NO) box.
Loading will still work without JiffyDOS, but it will take several mins to load the game.

the second box says what keys to press when the Metal Dust loading menu appears.

8 = CBM 1581
J = JiffyDOS
S = Standard Kernal (if you don't have the JiffyDOS.bin).

--------
if you are adding other D81 images to GameBase?
you will need to update the script.

then add a GEMUS just for Metal Dust.
a simple cut and paste in the VICE scripts.
