Verify doesnt recognize my game files (named incorrectly?)

I have the GB64-collection, but all files are in one directory and are named like:

007 Car Chase (9892).zip

which doesnt seem what the frontend expects. The real filename cand be found in a VERSION.NFO file inside the archive.
I could make a script that renamed all the files but that would take a while so I wonder if there is a known way of dealing with this format?

You've probably got the GB64 games images in GoodGB64 Long Filename format. What you need to to do is download CLRMAME from http://www.clrmame.com and the GoodGB64 from Cowering's page over at:-

http://allgoodthings.us/mambo/

This direct link to the dat file may work...

http://allgoodthings.us/mambo/component ... 64_203.rar

Use the two together and you will be able to rename the files to the GB64 fiename standard.

Cowering hasn't updated it for the latest release though it seems...but it's likely you haven't got the latest release anyway.

Hi,

I'm having a similar problem. Gamebase won't verify my game files, but they work if I pick them manually. I think it's the long filename format problem.

I've downloaded clrmame and the other thing you recommended but don't really know what to do with it to make the change

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

The screenshots aren't recognised either, but I'd imagine that will sort once I can reformat the rom filenames.
