I have observed that some rom.7z files contain several files...

7.jpg (54.54 KiB) Viewed 54256 times
and others only one...

What the hell am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

You need to unpack all the .7z files BEFORE using romcenter.
After renaming, put all the GREEN .GBA (2792) files in the GAMES folder.

GameBase is looking for these files (must be unzipped)...

Games/
F-Zero for GameBoy Advance (JP)[32mbit][sram v110] 0001.gba
Super Mario Advance (JP)[32mbit][eeprom v111] 0002.gba
Battle Network RockMan EXE (JP)[64mbit][sram v110] 0003.gba
Kurukuru Kururin (JP)[32mbit][sram v110] 0004.gba
Mr. Driller 2 (JP)[32mbit][sram v100] 0005.gba

Well done .Mad, keeping these forums alive as usual..

Been too busy playing with a rather large fee gift of Amiga's and stuff...

Not had real hardware since the day...Great fun...

As for the guy needing help with the roms, give Mad a big thank you, he's a star in here...

I'll do it.
How is that gamebase supports compressed rom files in other game bases and not in gba?
Thanks again.

It's just the way i linked the files in the mdb.
Rather than uploading many Gigabytes of roms again, i gave everyone a chance to use what they already had, with a quick and simple universal file rename.

Also when the files are unzipped, the IPS (patch) files will load automatically from the same folder without having to pack them with the game archive first.
This makes loading quicker, when testing various patches with thousands of roms, for my personal GBA 'wario version' GameBase.

I understand. Forgive my inexperience.
After rename my roms I zipped them individually and renamed .zip as .gba. I don't know if it's very orthodox but seems to work.
Thanks.

Yes, it will work if the emulator can handle .ZIP.
But i would not reccomended it.

This version of the MDB has been edited to use the same ROM filenames with extension .ZIP.
Gamebase will then handle the unzip/rezip.
This will also give you an option to re-pack any save data with the rom when closed.
But i would also use a emu save state as a backup save for RPGs.

Guys I am waking this up, to ask if someone can provide a live link of the database latest version (and the contents if possible... I have 15TB of emulation data, but I cannot be sure which exact versions of the games the author used and add one by one...).

First of all, thanks for the reply. You're kind, like everyone in here. I give you my warmest congratulations because with your hard work you help preserve the memory of a world that no longer exists and we nostalgic :D for old video games revive that world.
Thank you.

Ah, sorry.
I have the "no-intro" romset GBA, is it compatible with your Gamebase GBA?
Thanks again.

I am sure a high percentage will work when renamed with the PURE (RC).dat.

The SCENE ROM set with work with all the IPS patches for trainers, save fixes.
which are essential for the few games which used Solar and Tilt sensors, and playing roms with flash carts on real GBA hardware.
most of these are in the GOODTOOLS GBA ROM SET "GOODGBA"

I will upload the correct SCENE ROM set i used, with the patch files for automation
when i reupload the GB.
