I used RMB on Play Game button several times, changed emulator to different and nothing lost. Can anyone tell me how/why it may mess up anything ?

------------------------------------------------------------------------

[compilation] cassette 50 (bbc) - tape loads automatically in BeebEm and runs game Maze Eater (no menu to select game) - no entry in GEMUS

[compilation] cassette 50 (electron) - does not run anything, shows "File not found" - entry in GEMUS "emu=ElectrEm"

any solutions for such situations ?

ElectrEm doesn't load or boot some disks correctly.

change to gemus to
emu=Elkulator
disk=menu

the Tape version doesn't have a menu.
this was only made for the disk hack.

Read manual in Extras how to load each game.
type LOAD"(first 3 letters of game name)"

yes that is tick box is essential to load most games.

the problem still remains with Haven / compilation Disks.
They have a boot loader or disk header that the emulator can't read properly.
The menu screen can (sometimes) look corrupt,
or it fails to find the file and boot the disk.
use Elkulator for these disks and it works every time.

i don't think electrem is going to be updated any time soon to fix this problem.

Nice to see you back with us. :wink:

Acornmania is available here http://www.underground-gamer.com/details.php?id=36513

It looks like the separate BBC gamebase has been updated since then though. http://www.underground-gamer.com/details.php?id=44832

There is also a separate Electron gamebase, but appears the last update to it was about 6 weeks before the Acornmania. http://www.underground-gamer.com/details.php?id=35092

Also, there is an Acorn Atom gamebase http://www.underground-gamer.com/details.php?id=47410

Edit:forgot about the Archimedes http://www.underground-gamer.com/details.php?id=34521
