maybe your config has been saved with sound off.

check the MESS.INI
Also the files in the MESS\INI and CFG Directories
to see if the sound is switched off.
---------------------------
# CORE SOUND OPTIONS
#
sound 1
samplerate 48000
samples 1
volume 0
----------------------------
or try adding -sound to the script.

Add_CLP( -sound -window -skip_gameinfo )

if like you say, the sound is ok in MESS when not run through gamebase.
the script must be switching it off.

Apple2Mania (May 2009)
It doesn't matter for me.
It's better to have an old version that does not have it. :-)
Can you upload Apple2Mania please? 8)

Nice. I already have an unlimited account there.

Btw, just poking around there I see they already have the Atari 800 Demobase available from about 3 months ago.

Excellent news .mad., any progress yet? I have just about everything going Gamebase-wise and it's all up to date so if you need uploaders ..

As an incentive can we get unlimited access for GB uploaders/developers?

the first reply was very promising.
Hot Trout said he was willing to store our gamebases and was going to make a FTP folder available, and create a gamebase section on the website.

But i am still waiting for a reply to my last message...
with details how/where the bases should be uploaded, how much space will be available and who can have access to the folder.

Bondorello says he was talking to Hot Trout, and from what i understand (from a conversation i had no part in).

The smaller GameBases will be FREE to download to any registered user, with a max download speed of 50kbs x1 file.
these could also include any bases without ROMs (ISO's)

For the larger GameBases you will need a one off donation to the site of $10, which will give you unlimited user status to the whole site.
with 192kbs x3 files.

Many ROM sets are already on the site, so clever packing could make for less initial uploading, SNES, Mega Drive for example.

Bondorello didn't seem very keen on the donation part, but i think it's cheap for all the other content on the site as well.
And the links should be Active for more than a month.

Hot Trout is doing us the favor of storing the files.
So i don't think he would be too keen giving full membership away as well.

If the gamebase folder becomes a reality.
i will personally buy full membership for any committed uploaders.

I hate for my first post to be a link request, but jeez, I can't find a working link to download GameBase Apple2 anywhere. It'd be a beautiful thing if somebody could lend a hand. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Disregard, and thanks anyway. I stumbled across the link https://www.t2e.pl/t2e-download/gamebase.706 when looking for another GameBase.

Has there been an update for GameBase Apple II since 2009? If not, I'm kind of amazed, given the popularity of this system. Thanks in advance for any info you have on it!
